Charles Booker... Compositions

The Trailblazers: Lewis and Clark - was commissioned by the Arkansas Bandmasters Association and dedicated to the Joso Gakuin High School band from Ibaraki, Japan. The Joso Gakuin band, with Tomoo Motozu conducting, premiered the suite at the Arkansas Bandmasters Association convention in Little Rock, Arkansas August 1, 2003. The composition, depicting one of America 's greatest adventures, is a suite of six musical settings describing members of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the years 1803-1806.
