Crossed SabresThe U.S. Army's 16th Cavalry Regiment stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky commissioned this traditional march. The piece begins with a brief fanfare quoting "The General's March"; a trio section follows using material from the song "The Girl I Left Behind Me," which is initially accompanied by a snare drum solo on the rim.
